Urban Horticulture Center Demonstration Parking Lot
Blacksburg, VA
A two-car experimental parking lot test section was constructed during the summer of 2005. Woven geotextile was placed at the bottom of a 2' deep excavation followed by 2' of structural soil (Carolina Stalite). Equipment was installed to monitor water depth, soil temperature and root growth.
